
Within the framework of the Swedish Institute grant project 00237/2025 BIOSORBWATECH «Development of sustainable technologies for water and wastewater treatment using biosorbents», scientists of the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE) participated in the international scientific conference «Science and Industry – Challenges and Opportunities» SICO 2026, which held on from June 23 to 25, 2026 in Lublin (Poland).
The delegation included: Iryna Goncharova – coordinator of the project from SUTE and Ukraine, Associate Professor of the Department of Commodity Science and Pharmacy; Olena Sydorenko – Professor, Head of the Department of Commodity Science and Pharmacy; Taras Karavayev – Professor of the Department of Commodity Science and Customs Affairs, Executive Secretary of the PO «USCST». During the conference, they presented oral and poster presentations in English to the international scientific community.

The plenary sessions of the second day of the SICO 2026 international conference were held at the Science and Technology Park in Pulawy (Poland).
SUTE representatives took part in plenary sessions and professional discussions, got acquainted with modern research by scientists from different countries of the world, and discussed promising areas of international scientific cooperation. Participation in the event contributed to the establishment of new professional contacts, exchange of experience, and the formation of ideas for the implementation of future joint scientific and project initiatives.
The results of the research by SUTE scientists, presented at the SICO 2026 conference, were published in the scientific monograph of the same name, the electronic version of which can be found on the website (link).
We continue to develop international scientific, project and educational cooperation of the State University of Trade and Economics.
