Cooperation with Tomas Bata University in Zlin

Andriy Lemeshko, PhD, Associate Professor at the Department of Software Engineering and Cybersecurity of the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE), took part in the 16th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT'2026), held on 2-4 September 2026 at Tomas Bata University in Zlin (TBU).

During the visit, the two universities completed the signing of a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation and Scientific Exchange between the State University of Trade and Economics (Ukraine) and Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic).

The Memorandum is concluded for an initial term of five years, with automatic renewal for further five-year periods. It provides for:

  • exchange of academic staff, researchers, and doctoral students;
  • exchange of students for study visits, internships, and joint academic programmes;
  • joint scientific research in priority areas – information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering;
  • joint scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops, including continued participation in the ACIT conference;
  • submission of joint applications to Ukrainian-Czech research project competitions;
  • development of joint educational programmes and exchange of experience in academic management.

The Memorandum opens new opportunities for faculty and students of the Department of Software Engineering and Cybersecurity – from participation in joint research projects to academic mobility and closer ties with European partners.
