"NUTRITION SCIENCE AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY ALLIANCE: BUILDING SUSTAINABLE ACADEMIC PATHWAYS WITH UKRAINE"

PROJECT GOAL

Academic capacity building at SUTE in Human Nutrition and Food Technology by mainstreaming sustainable and healthy nutrition across BSc, MSc, and PhD curricula, embedding research-informed teaching and research, and safeguarding educational continuity under wartime conditions. Through the UH–SUTE partnership – leveraging staff/student mobility and multi-institutional Virtual Inclusive Campus (VIC) – the project broadens access, strengthens cross-border cooperation, and expands international networks and academic freedom.

Main Objectives

  1. Academic capacity building at SUTE in Human Nutrition and Food Technology by mainstreaming sustainable and healthy nutrition across BSc, MSc, and PhD curricula; embedding of teaching cooperation and student research projects; supporting educational resilience and student research during wartime conditions.
  2. Digital study: enable accessible, bilingual digital learning as an optional component within HEIs’ programs; development of students’ skills and knowledge to enrich and exploit the VIC. Providing digital study as an optional component of HEIs’ educational programs. Virtual MSc course “Healthy and Sustainable Nutrition” (HSN) development for SUTE’s platform (VIC), including Guidelines and Training Materials.
  3. Research-informed teaching: develop student research and co-supervised projects connected to UH-SUTE expertise.
  4. Mobility & internationalization: increase student and staff mobility to deepen cooperation and skills transfer, supporting educational resilience and student research during wartime conditions.
  5. Enhance academic freedom of students and teachers, and the internationalization of education through students’ and academic staff mobility.
  6. Research integration: Implementation of joint research projects; disseminating the results as joint publications, participation in scientific conferences, seminars, and symposiums.
  7. Promoting international cooperation between HEIs. This collaboration will strengthen cross-border cooperation, increase our international networks, and expand mobility opportunities.
